Today when I logged into my Windows Live Hotmail account I noticed the Messenger buddies and text, this I noticed on all of my accounts (personal and business).
To start using the Messenger feature in Windows Live Hotmail click on the down arrow and click on the “Sign in to Messenger” then it will load and as you can see from the image below it shows the status.
To chat with one of your MSN/Windows Live Messenger contacts click on “View Messenger contacts” , this will load your contacts list and then click on the contact you want to instant message and select “Send an instant message (status)” this will start a new window which looks like the an old (8.5) desktop messenger chat window.
